                    • HUD defined low income individuals and families

“This is a new and exciting program that will provide a limited number of fully furnished (and fully ADA accessible if required) three bedroom one bathroom manufactured homes and two bedroom one bathroom park models to those in need” says The Silver Lining Foundation Founder and Executive Director, Michael Turner. “Through this program we will be able to offer these units for around $7,500, which is a small fraction of their retail cost of $38,500 to $48,500” added Turner. "Our ultimate goal is to provide a very affordable home ownership opportunity to individuals and families that otherwise could not afford the American dream."

The final prices of the units, which will be fully installed, hooked up and ready to move into, complete with appliances, beds, a couch and other furnishings, will vary slightly depending upon whether the units are manufactured homes or park models, and what degree of accessibility each unit will require, such as wheelchair ramps, etc.  In addition to the up front cost of the unit, there will be a $75/month administrative charge payable to The Silver Lining Foundation for the 18 month compliance period required by the government for this program. Additionally there may be a long term lease required by the park. For those who cannot afford the entire cost of the unit up front, some of the manufactured home community program participants will be offering payment plans.
